Examinations

The examination system at Lourde Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is designed to ensure continuous evaluation and academic improvement. It follows a structured assessment pattern in accordance with the regulations prescribed by Kannur University for the respective disciplines.

Internal Examinations

First Internal Examination

The First Internal Examination is conducted during the early stage of the semester. It helps assess students’ understanding of fundamental concepts and encourages them to maintain consistency in their studies from the beginning. The Second Internal Examination is conducted midway through the semester to evaluate academic progress, strengthen subject knowledge, and help students prepare effectively for university examinations.

Model Examination

The Model Examination is conducted towards the end of the semester before the university examinations. It is a comprehensive test covering the entire syllabus and provides students with a real-time examination experience, helping them prepare effectively and identify areas for improvement.

External Examinations

External Examination

The External Examination is conducted by Kannur University at the end of each semester. It serves as the final assessment for each course and is based on the prescribed syllabus. These examinations are centrally evaluated by the university to ensure transparency and uniformity in the assessment process. The results of the external examination, combined with internal assessment scores, determine the overall academic performance of the students.

Continuous Evaluation (CE)

Continuous Evaluation is carried out as per the requirements of the university in the respective discipline.
